Canadian pianist Alain Lefèvre devotes his new recording entirely to André Mathieu. Rachmaninov pronounced him, "a genius, more so than I am". Recorded live in concert with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Choir under the renowned conductor George Hanson. It features the world premiere of André Mathieu's Piano Concerto No. 4, a recently discovered work representative of the composer's "Modern Romanticism,” and perhaps his boldest creation.
